Just visited Butuan City coming from Surigao City. Its a nice place & visited some historical sites. But when we visited the Langihan Publiic market to buy some mangoes, wow upon entering the market & its surroundings, I felt like vomiting. It's one of the dirtiest public market I have seen, with overflowing blackish foul smelling slush, litters all around, vendors & buyers just throwing garbage anywhere. When we reach the meat section, we wonder if the meats are fit for human consumption, with all the filths around.
What are the City hall officials doing, do they buy their food here in the market or maybe they buy their food at Gaisano ? This is a big minus to Butuan City tourism thrust. The City Mayor must act ASAP
